IKEA ELLOVEN Review: $34.99 for a Fixed 10 cm Rise and a Shallow Drawer

A steel platform with a bamboo-front drawer, 47 × 26 × 10 cm, rated for 20 kg. It costs $34.99 and has one height only, so it suits a screen that sits too low.

THE SHORT VERSION

IKEA Canada sells the white ELLOVEN (504.747.70) for $34.99 CAD: a steel platform 47 cm wide, 26 cm deep and 10 cm high, with a bamboo-front drawer set into it. It carries the same article number as the US listing; what changes for a Canadian buyer is the price, the currency and the metric-first measurements.

Ten centimetres is the number that decides this purchase. Hold a ruler beside the screen. If the bottom edge of the panel already sits where you want it, the stand adds a drawer and nothing else, and a drawer is a poor reason to lift a monitor. If the screen sits low, ELLOVEN is a cheap fix with a single setting.

Our verdict

Buy it at $34.99 if your screen sits low and its foot fits a 47 × 26 cm plate. Skip it if the height is already right or you want to adjust it later.

A good fit for
A low screen with a monitor foot that fits within 47 × 26 cm, plus a handful of pens, adapters and notes that suit a shallow drawer.
We would skip it if
The screen is already at the right height, the foot is deeper than 26 cm, the keyboard is thick, or you want a height you can change.

Reasons to consider it

  • A 10 cm rise and a 45 × 24 cm drawer in one steel and bamboo piece for $34.99.
  • Rated for 20 kg (44 lb), with a cable opening at the back.
  • Returns run 365 days on new, unopened stock and 90 days on opened, unused stock.

The compromises

  • One fixed height, with nothing to adjust.
  • The page gives no drawer height, no keyboard clearance and no maximum screen size.
  • IKEA Canada's warranty page names no warranty for ELLOVEN.

What we have not verified: Open items: the checkout total with any tax and delivery, stock at any single store (the page asks for a postal code), and how the plate holds up under a heavy screen. The metal is a source conflict: IKEA's marketing copy calls the frame aluminum, its materials list says steel, and nothing independent settles it.

IKEA ELLOVEN Monitor Stand with Drawer
For a low screen and a little desk clutter

ELLOVEN Monitor Stand with Drawer

A fixed 10 cm rise, a 45 × 24 cm drawer and a 20 kg rating for $34.99.

Before you buy: No height adjustment, no published keyboard clearance, and a plate only 26 cm deep.

Price checked October 24, 2026. Retailer prices can change.

One height, and a plate 26 cm deep

The top plate measures 47 cm (18½ in) across and 26 cm (10¼ in) front to back, and the whole stand is 10 cm (4 in) tall. There is no second position. A monitor with its own height adjustment can reach the same spot for nothing, and two people sharing a desk get a single height between them. IKEA says a screen at the right height eases strain on the neck and shoulders; whether 10 cm is the right height depends on your chair, desk and screen.

Depth is the figure people forget. A monitor foot deeper than 26 cm overhangs the front or the back, and IKEA publishes neither a minimum base size nor a maximum screen size. Measure the foot, side to side and front to back, before ordering.

A shallow drawer and an unmeasured keyboard gap

Inside, the drawer is 45 cm wide and 24 cm deep (17¾ × 9½ in). IKEA names pens, notepads and USB sticks as the contents, which fits the size: a pen or two, a pair of adapters, a small notebook. The page gives no drawer height, so anything bulky is a guess.

IKEA also says the keyboard can slide in under the drawer when you are not typing. No clearance is published, and the entire stand is only 10 cm tall with the drawer inside it. A slim keyboard is plausible; a thick one is a fit to check, not to assume.

20 kg, powder-coated steel and a bamboo box

The maximum load is 20 kg (44 lb). Compare it with the weight in your monitor’s own spec sheet; the page does not say whether the drawer’s contents count toward the total.

The stand is steel with an epoxy/polyester powder coating, and the drawer box is bamboo, fibreboard and bamboo veneer under a clear lacquer. Care is a damp cloth. A cable opening at the back keeps the cables behind the screen. The package measures 49 × 27 × 11 cm and weighs 2.89 kg.

$34.99, stock by postal code, delivery from $9.99

IKEA.ca lists the white ELLOVEN at $34.99 CAD with an Add to cart button. Stock and delivery options are checked by postal code on the page, so confirm your own store before driving over. The product page carries no tax line, so treat $34.99 as the shelf price and confirm the final amount at checkout.

IKEA’s delivery page puts parcel delivery from $9.99, and at $34.99 the stand clears the $29 minimum order (counted before taxes and delivery). The page does not say which option an ELLOVEN gets; IKEA shows the method and exact price at checkout, so budget for a delivery fee on top of the shelf price, or collect it in store.

A long return window, no warranty listed

New, unopened stock goes back within 365 days with proof of purchase, refunded to the original payment method. An opened stand can be returned within 90 days if it is unused and re-saleable, at IKEA’s sole discretion; traces of use mean an IKEA refund card instead of a refund to the original payment method. Ninety days is enough to learn whether a fixed 10 cm is wrong, though a stand that has been tried on the desk may come back as a refund card.

IKEA Canada’s warranty page lists terms for kitchens, bathrooms, beds, sofas and several office desks and chairs, and ELLOVEN is not among them. A missing listing is not proof of no cover; there are simply no ELLOVEN terms to quote. The return policy mentions free replacement parts without saying which ELLOVEN parts are offered.

When to skip it

Pass if the monitor’s own stand already reaches the height you want, if its foot is wider than 47 cm or deeper than 26 cm, or if you plan to share the desk with someone of a different height. An adjustable arm answers that last case; a fixed platform cannot.

Pass too if you want a roomy drawer. At 45 × 24 cm inside, with no height published, it is sized for pens and adapters, not a stack of paper.
