Amazon.ca lists the Braun Series 8 8567cc kit at $301.04 before sales tax: the four-element wet-and-dry shaver, the 5-in-1 SmartCare centre that cleans, lubricates, charges and dries it, a fabric travel case, a Precision ProTrimmer and a cleaning brush, all in one box the retailer itself ships and sells. The buy box showed in stock with free delivery on October 25, 2026, and no struck-through list price above it.
Braun's Canadian website adds nothing to the channel decision, because it makes no offer of its own: ca.braun.com runs its shaver line as Series 9 Pro+, 7, 6, 5 and 3, and the Series 8 does not appear anywhere on it. That leaves Amazon.ca as the main shelf, which pushes the research onto the recurring parts. The 83M replacement head the series runs on read currently unavailable there, the kit is flagged non-returnable, and the sections below price the ownership, place the 8 between the Series 7 and the Series 9 Pro+ on Canadian shelves, and lay out the guarantee paperwork.
Our verdict
For a daily wet shave, $301.04 buys a four-element shaver with a self-cleaning station, shipped and sold by Amazon.ca. Budget for an 83M head every 18 months and a cleaning cartridge roughly every two months.
- A good fit for
- Daily shavers who use foam or gel, will feed the station cartridges on schedule, and are comfortable buying replacement heads in Canada from whichever channel stocks them that month.
- We would skip it if
- You shave a couple of times a week, never wet shave, or want a store you can walk a used shaver back to. Amazon.ca marks this kit non-returnable.
Reasons to consider it
- Four shaving elements plus a Precision ProTrimmer, with SensoAdapt power adjustment Braun rates at 160 beard reads a second and a 40-degree adaptive head
- 100% waterproof body the listing rates for the shower, foam or gel, and 60 minutes of cordless runtime
- The 5-in-1 SmartCare station cleans, lubricates, charges and dries on a dock, and Braun's Canadian parts catalogue still lists the 83M cassette and the refills
The compromises
- Braun Canada sells nothing direct and its shaver lineup skips the Series 8 entirely, so Amazon.ca is effectively the main shelf
- Braun's own 83M listing read currently unavailable on Amazon.ca on October 25, 2026, with third-party compatible cassettes from about $20 to $97 filling the search
- The kit is flagged non-returnable under hazardous-materials transport rules, and Braun's 100-day guarantee pays a prepaid card, not cash
What we have not verified: Shaving performance, battery life and cleaning results are unmeasured; the numbers above are the sellers' own claims. Neither Amazon.ca nor Braun Canada states whether Amazon.ca counts as a Braun authorized seller, and the guarantee and the warranty both hinge on it; the only number on Braun Canada's warranty page, 1-800-387-6657, is its service-centre line. The listing's description paragraph mentions a PowerCase its own included-components line does not contain, so the box list was followed.

Series 8 Electric Shaver · 8567cc
$301.04 from Amazon.ca itself buys the 4+1 wet-and-dry shaver, the 5-in-1 SmartCare station, a fabric travel case and a trimmer, in stock with free delivery.
Before you buy: The official 83M head read currently unavailable on Amazon.ca, the kit is flagged non-returnable, and Braun's own refills run $5.30 a cartridge.
Price checked October 25, 2026. Retailer prices can change. One box, one retailer: what $301.04 covers
The included-components line on the Amazon.ca listing reads Precision Trimmer, 5-in-1 SmartCare Center, fabric razor travel case and cleaning brush, with the lithium-ion battery inside the shaver. Braun rates the shaver at 60 minutes of cordless runtime, and the listing is explicit that the body is waterproof for use in the shower or with foam or gel. The station automates the chores a sink rinse only partly covers: cleaning, lubricating, charging and drying the shaver docked inside it.
On the shaver itself, the feature block gives the series pitch: synchronized 4+1 technology, four foils plus the ProTrimmer, SensoAdapt sensors that read beard density 160 times a second and adjust power to match, and a 40-degree adaptive head for the contours under the nose and along the chin. The body carries Braun's made-in-Germany line. The shaver charges from a cord, so buying it in Canada raises no outlet question.
The 83M head is the part Canada makes you work for
Series 8 runs on the 83M cassette, and Braun Canada's parts page confirms the fit under Series 8 with the brand's standing advice: replace the foil and cutter block every 18 months, by which point a shaver will have cut about six million hairs. Buying that official cassette in Canada is the awkward part. Braun's own 83M listing on Amazon.ca read currently unavailable on October 25, 2026, and the search results around it were third-party compatible cassettes priced from about $20 to $97.
Braun Canada does not fill the gap through a store of its own, because there is no store: its site sends Canadians to retailers. The Canadian service chain is still behind the product, though. The Series 8 service page lists the 83M shaving system (part 20000333) and the Clean & Renew cartridge (20000321, fitting every Braun cleaning centre except two early types) among its spare parts. The guarantee and warranty paperwork attaches to purchases from Braun or its authorized sellers, so a compatible cassette is a different transaction with no Braun paper behind it, whatever the price gap says.
Cartridges at $5.30 each, and the sink routine that replaces them
The station's running cost is the Clean & Renew cartridge, and Amazon.ca sells Braun's own refills directly: $52.99 for a ten-pack, which works out to $5.30 a cartridge, or $24.99 for a three-pack. Cartridges carry the same non-returnable flag as the shaver. The station is not the only path: Braun Canada's care guide has you rinse the head under running hot water, improve the clean with a bit of standard liquid soap, and put a drop of oil on the cutter block once in a while.
The brush routine comes with one rule the guide underlines: after removing the head, brush the cutter block and run the shaver for two or three seconds, but never clean the cutter foil with the brush. A cleaning spray that lifts sebum is the guide's third option. What the SmartCare centre adds on top of the sink routine is lubrication and a timed dry, and a household that skips the station can skip the cartridges entirely.
Series 7 below at $159.99, Series 9 Pro+ above at $443.79
On Canadian shelves the step down is the Series 7 7120cc at $159.99, sold and shipped by Amazon.ca and returnable, with Braun Canada's own page crediting the line three shaving elements and 24,000 cutting actions a minute. The step up is the Series 9 Pro+ 9567cc at $443.79, also sold by Amazon.ca and flagged non-returnable like the Series 8: five plus one elements, 40,000 cutting actions, a ProLift long-hair trimmer and the same 40-degree head adaptation, per Braun Canada's lineup.
The $142.75 gap up to the Pro+ buys one more shaving element and the ProLift long-hair trimmer; the $141.05 gap down to the Series 7 trades the 8's 4+1 system for three elements and drops the cleaning station, since the 7120cc listing's box holds only a cleaning brush. Heads do not interchange either: Braun Canada's parts page files the Series 7 cassettes apart from the Series 8's 83M, so spares for one are dead stock for the other. Check the head for whichever series you pick before buying the shaver; on October 25 the official 83M was the one Amazon.ca could not supply.
Non-returnable at Amazon.ca, and the paperwork that still applies
Amazon.ca flags the 8567cc kit non-returnable, citing hazardous-materials transport rules, the same flag the refill cartridges carry. A used shaver comes back only through Braun Canada's 100-day money-back guarantee: submit the request form within 100 days of purchase with proof of purchase, mail the shaver back with all its parts except cleaning fluid, and the refund arrives on a prepaid Mastercard that expires six months after issuance. One refund per name, household or address, and the guarantee is open to Canadian residents nineteen and older.
Separate from the guarantee, Braun Canada warrants shavers for two years against defects in material or workmanship, foil and cutter block excluded, handled through an authorized service centre that its line at 1-800-387-6657 refers you to. The page calls this the sole warranty Braun Canada offers and disclaims the implied warranties; provincial consumer protection law gives statutory rights on a consumer sale that exist alongside whatever the card in the box says. Past the warranty years, Braun's own figure for the line is up to ten years of repair service, with the 83M and the cartridges in the Canadian parts catalogue.
