In this guide
Osprey UK prices its Daylite family in small steps: a £65 Cinch, a £70 Daylite, this £75 Daylite Plus, and a Driftshade Plus also at £75. Choosing the Plus means choosing against its neighbours, and the gaps are measured in £5 notes.
On Osprey UK's own pages the Plus and the Daylite share a sleeve rated for laptops up to 14 inches and the same clip-on attachment to larger Osprey packs. What differs is volume, 20 L against 13 L, two front pockets, and 0.10 kg of weight. If those matter at £5, the Plus is the easy pick.
Our verdict
At £75 the Daylite Plus costs £5 more than the 13 L Daylite and adds 7 L plus two front pockets. Buy it unless a lighter, smaller pack covers your day.
- A good fit for
- Commuters and travellers carrying a laptop up to 14 inches who want 20 L in a one-size pack, or anyone clipping a daypack onto a larger Osprey bag.
- We would skip it if
- Your day fits in 13 L and you want the lighter pack (the £70 Daylite weighs 0.49 kg to the Plus's 0.59 kg), or you need a fitted torso length or a frame.
Reasons to consider it
- Osprey UK lists 20 L and 48 x 28 x 24 cm against the Daylite's 13 L and 43 x 26 x 20 cm, for £5 more
- The feature list adds a front zippered slash pocket and a shove-it front pocket that the Daylite's list does not name
- Osprey's guarantee runs 30 years from the purchase date and covers defects in materials and workmanship with a free repair or replacement
The compromises
- One size means no torso adjustment, and Osprey publishes no load rating for a frameless pack
- The Plus weighs 0.59 kg against the Daylite's 0.49 kg, so the extra volume is carried every day, full or not
- A guarantee claim needs the receipt and an Osprey account, and the owner pays to post the pack to the repair centre
What we have not verified: Nothing here comes from carrying or measuring the pack. Osprey UK's product page gives 20 L, but the Daylite collection page and its comparison table give 17 L for the same pack; the product page's specification is used. Neither page names a sleeve for a 15-inch laptop, and Osprey does not publish a load rating.

Daylite Plus · DAYLTPLUSS21
The extra volume and the front slash and shove-it pockets are the gap between the Daylite Plus and the £70 Daylite; the 14-inch sleeve and the attachment feature are shared.
Before you buy: It is one size with no frame and no published load rating, and it is 0.10 kg heavier than the Daylite, so heavy daily loads sit outside what the listing supports.
Price checked 16 October 2026. Retailer prices can change.Twenty litres, one size, £75
Osprey UK lists the Daylite Plus at £75.00 as a 20 L pack in one size, 48 x 28 x 24 cm and 0.59 kg. The feature list is a daypack's: a large panel-loading main compartment, a padded interior sleeve for a hydration reservoir, tablet or most laptops up to 14 inches, two compression straps, two mesh bottle pockets, a front pocket with a key clip and a harness handle that doubles as a luggage pass-through.
It has no torso adjustment and Osprey gives no load rating, so this is a pack for laptop-and-lunch days. In Green Belt/Green Canopy, the colour pictured, the page showed an add-to-cart button on 16 October. Osprey's page notes free shipping over £75, and at exactly £75 the Plus sits on that line, so check the basket before counting on it.
The decision happens on Osprey's own shelf
Osprey UK's Daylite collection prices the Cinch (15 L) at £65.00, the Daylite (13 L) at £70.00, this Plus at £75.00, the Plus Driftshade at £75.00, the Large Tote Pack (26 L) at £80.00 and the 26+6 Expandable Travel Backpack at £90.00. Of the Cinch, Daylite and Plus daypacks, the Plus is the largest, and it costs £10 more than the Cinch and £5 more than the Daylite.
On some shelves the cheaper pack makes you buy a separate sleeve. Here the £70 Daylite already takes a laptop up to 14 inches, so a 14-inch laptop owner pays £5 for the Plus only to get volume and pockets, not a bigger sleeve. Anyone with a 15-inch laptop gets no help from either pack on Osprey's pages.
Volume and two front pockets are what £5 adds
On Osprey UK's product pages the Daylite is 13 L, 43 x 26 x 20 cm and 0.49 kg; the Plus is 20 L, 48 x 28 x 24 cm and 0.59 kg. The Plus's list adds a front zippered slash pocket and a shove-it front pocket, and the Daylite's list names neither. Those are the differences the pages support.
Clip-on attachment is not among them. Both product pages say the pack attaches to a variety of compatible Osprey packs, and the collection page names the Farpoint and Fairview series and the Aether and Ariel series as compatible. Someone with no Osprey luggage can ignore that and choose on volume, pockets and 0.10 kg.
A 30-year guarantee with a posting bill
Osprey's guarantee page says 30 Years, Any Pack, Any Reason; the declaration behind it is narrower. It runs 30 years from the purchase date and covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, with a free repair or replacement, and it sits alongside statutory consumer rights. Wear and tear is not what it promises to fix.
A claim needs the original receipt and an account on Osprey's site. The owner pays to post the pack to the repair centre; Osprey pays the repair and the return. Osprey says repairs normally take 2 to 3 business days at the centre, 7 to 10 in busy periods, and a pack that cannot be mended is replaced with the same or a current model. A refund, in Osprey's words, goes through the retailer.
