The Braun Series 8 8567cc sits in Braun's mid-premium tier at $229.99 (list $279.99) on Braun's US store: a four-element wet/dry shaver, a 5-in-1 SmartCare center that cleans, lubricates, charges, and dries it, and a travel case in the box. Amazon, shipping and selling the same kit itself, matched that $229.99 on October 4, so the choice of store turns on returns and the price of replacement heads, both covered below.
Braun rates the 83M head to last 18 months; it costs $69.99 at Braun and $59.99 at Amazon. A caption on Braun's head page has a Clean & Renew refill replaced every two months, and a ten-pack costs $49.99 at either store. Shave every day, in the shower half the time, and the station gets used as designed; shave twice a week, dry, and a shaver without a station covers it. Where the 8 stands against the Series 7 below it and the Series 9 Pro+ above it decides the rest.
Our verdict
For daily shavers who use foam or gel, the 8567cc kit at $229.99 buys a 4+1-element wet/dry shaver and a self-cleaning station. Braun and Amazon charge the same; budget about $70 a year for heads and cartridges.
- A good fit for
- Daily shavers who wet shave with foam or gel and will empty the cleaning station's cartridges on schedule.
- We would skip it if
- You shave twice a week or less, shave dry and see no use for a station, or already run a Series 8 from the 8325s to 8467cc generation.
Reasons to consider it
- Four shaving elements plus a Precision ProTrimmer rated at 30,000 cutting actions per minute, with a 40-degree flexible head
- 100% waterproof body that Braun and its Amazon listing rate for foam, gel, or the shower
- 60-minute Li-Ion runtime, a one-hour full charge in the manual's charging diagram, and a 5-minute quick charge that covers one shave
The compromises
- Heads and Clean & Renew cartridges add about $70 a year at Amazon's $59.99 head price, about $77 at Braun's $69.99
- Braun's US store sells no bare-shaver Series 8; both kits include the station, which wants a fresh cartridge about every two months
- Braun's 30-day return takes only unopened boxes and Amazon marks this kit non-returnable, so a used shaver goes back only through the 100-day guarantee's claim form and mailed return
What we have not verified: Neither Braun nor Amazon states whether Amazon counts as a Braun authorized seller, and the guarantee and warranty both depend on it; Braun's policy gives 800-272-8611 for that question. No Series 8 recall record appeared in CPSC searches on October 3, 2026.

Series 8 Electric Shaver · 8567cc
This 8567cc kit costs $229.99 from Braun's own store and from Amazon itself, for a 4+1-element wet/dry shaver with a self-cleaning station; Braun takes unopened returns within 30 days, while Amazon marks the kit non-returnable.
Before you buy: Priced for daily use: heads and cartridges add about $70 a year, Braun's US line has no Series 8 without the station, and the 100-day guarantee needs proof of purchase, a claim form, and a mailed return.

The 8567cc kit contains the shaver, the 5-in-1 SmartCare center, one cleaning cartridge, a travel case, a cleaning brush, and a smart-plug charging cord. The center runs the five jobs Braun lists as hygienic cleaning, blade lubrication, automatic charging, smart programs, and a full dry in 45 minutes. Braun rates it for every Series 8 and, going back, Series 9 models from the 93xx generation. The 8577cc variant swaps the travel case for a PowerCase that adds up to 50% runtime and up to six weeks between charges, at $279.99.
On the shaver itself, Braun counts 4+1 shaving elements, four foils plus the Precision ProTrimmer, running at 30,000 cutting actions per minute, with a 40-degree flexible head and 10,000 sonic micro-vibrations. The body is 100% waterproof, and Braun's Amazon listing spells out foam, gel, or the shower. A smart LED display, a 100% made-in-Germany build, and a repairable design round out the hardware at this tier.
The 83M head: $59.99 to $69.99 every 18 months
Series 8 takes the 83M cassette, and Braun's head page names the fit directly: compatible with Braun Series 8 shavers. Braun's own store asks $69.99; Amazon, selling it directly, asked $59.99 on October 4. The official interval is one sentence on that page: replace the shaver head every 18 months. Braun credits the cassette with cutting three-day beards at 30,000 actions per minute. At Amazon's price that works out to about $3.33 a month, or $40 a year; at Braun's, about $3.89 a month.
Amazon's 83M search results also fill with third-party cassettes labeled 83M-compatible at $17 to $34. Braun's compatibility statement covers its own cassette, and its guarantee and warranty terms exclude anything bought outside Braun's authorized sellers, so those listings are a different transaction with no Braun paper behind them. Budget the official head when pricing this shaver's ownership, and treat discount cassettes as an unverified substitute.
Cartridges, and cleaning without the station
Clean & Renew refills cost $49.99 for a ten-pack at Braun's store and from Amazon alike, $5 a cartridge; Braun's $34.99 six-pack read out of stock on October 3. Braun rates them for any SmartCare or Clean & Charge unit sold after 2009, and at one cartridge every two months they add about $30 a year. The station is not the only path: Braun's care guide has you rinse the shaver under running hot water, improve the effect with a bit of standard liquid soap, and put a drop of oil on the cutter block once in a while.
The guide's brush routine: after removing the cutter head, brush the cutter block, switch the shaver on for two or three seconds, and never clean the cutter foil with the brush. A cleaning spray that removes sebum is the guide's third option, and the Series 8 manual adds one rule for wet shavers: rinse the head under hot running water after each foam or gel use. What the SmartCare center adds is lubrication and drying on a schedule, not access to cleaning itself.
Where the 8 sits: Series 7 below, Series 9 Pro+ above
Braun's US store shaver line runs NEVO, Series 9 Pro+, Series 8, and Series 7; Series 6 is not in it. The step down is the Series 7 7185cc at $169.99 (list $199.99): a 100% waterproof wet/dry body, three shave modes, three flexible blades on a 360° Flex head, and a SmartCare center that the 7185cc page says charges, cleans, and lubricates. Against the 8 it gives up the fourth shaving element, the 40-degree head, and the drying step Braun lists for the 5-in-1 station.
The step up is the Series 9 Pro+ 9677cc at $329.99 (list $449.99): five plus one synchronized shaving elements against the 8's four plus one, a 6-in-1 center, and a waterproof rating Braun tests to 24 hours under water. Braun's shaver lineup page pitches the 8 on skin comfort, every day, and the Pro+ on efficiency and skin protection on any beard density.
Warranty, returns, and where to click buy
Braun's US store takes returns within 30 days only when the item comes back unopened in the box it shipped in, every accessory included. A used shaver can come back only under the 100-day money-back guarantee: submit Braun's claim form within 100 days with proof of purchase showing date, price, retailer, and UPC, then mail the product back with all parts except cleaning fluid. Refunds arrive as a prepaid Mastercard, one per name, household, or address, for purchases between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2027. Amazon ships and sells the 8567cc itself but marks it non-returnable, citing hazardous-materials transport rules.
Braun's Shaver/Trimmer 2-year Limited Warranty covers defects in material and workmanship for two years from the original purchase, foil and cutter cassette excluded. BraunCare+ extends it by three years, up to five in total, for Series 8 shavers bought after February 15, 2026 and activated within 90 days with a proof-of-purchase upload. The guarantee, the warranty, and the extension all cover purchases from Braun or its authorized US sellers, so at equal prices Braun's own store is the purchase that needs no seller check; Amazon's $59.99 head is the cheaper replacement.
