The $120 BV ONE is IGBC-certified and telescopes from 8.3 L to 4.65 L, but it is absent from the Yosemite and Sequoia allowed-container lists that carry the $89.99 BV450 and $99.99 BV500.
The $349.95 Cot One Convertible buys a lever-tensioned 75 x 26 in deck 6.5 in off the ground at 4 lb 14.5 oz packed. The conversion in its name is leg height, not a second chair.
At $45.95, Sawyer's 3-ounce Squeeze turns any 28 mm bottle or pouch into a camp water system that backwashes clean — as long as your water worries are bacteria and protozoa, not viruses or chemicals.
Kelty's Late Start 4P is a 6 lb 7 oz, 55 sq ft four-person tent at $239.95; Kelty's own Rumpus 4 costs the same and carries 5 lb 9 oz more.
Kelty's $189.95 Cosmic Down 20 carries 550-fill down at 2 lb 7 oz; the $109.95 Cosmic Synthetic 20 is 6 oz heavier, prints no test method either, and was sold out in Regular when checked.
The $59.95 Z Lite Sol is closed-cell foam rated R 2.0 by the ASTM method — the floor of Therm-a-Rest's 2-to-4 three-season band — a summer pad for most sleepers and a stacking layer the rest of the year.
BioLite asks $79.95 for a 500-lumen lantern rated 5 hours on high and 200 on low. The low mode is the point: one charge spans a long weekend of camp light, with a 12 W USB-A port sharing the battery.
$109.95 buys packed size, not comfort: 965 g in a 14-inch case against the 7.02 lb of a $29.99 quad chair. Backpack in, the gap is the product; drive in, the quad wins.
A $49.95 air pillow that weighs 1.9 oz, packs to the size of an egg and comes with mat-adhesive patches. It trades the padded feel of the $54.95 Aeros Premium for 44 fewer grams in the pack.
The membrane in this $44.95 bottle is rated for 4,000 liters. The carbon capsule next to it is rated for 100. Which one you care about decides what the bottle costs to run.
A 1.6-ounce straw for water you can see through. It is not rated for chemicals, heavy metals or PFAS, and its 1,000-gallon life claim comes with a saline storage routine between trips.
The two-person standard is still worth its $74.95 maker-store price, but the $29.95 Atlas straps are not in the box: $104.90 door to door, against a $39.99 budget rival that ships with suspension.
At 2.6 oz and $49.95 the PocketRocket 2 is the stove for ounce-counters who boil water and carry a lighter anyway; the $84.95 Deluxe's piezo, broad burner, and regulator earn their $35 with faster all-condition boils.
