A $39.99 steel box fan with three speeds, a fused plug and a motor rated for a rainy window. Lasko publishes watts but no airflow, and its own manual and page disagree on two points.

Vornado's 460 costs $54.99, weighs 4.25 lb and lists 28 to 66 watts, 493 to 848 CFM and 49 to 57 dBA across three speeds. Those figures put its top speed below the 630's lowest speed on airflow while drawing more power, and its grille comes off with a screwdriver, not clips.

Vornado lists the 630 at $79.99 with three speeds, 34 to 50 watts and 47 to 54 dBA. The whole-room circulation it promises is a manufacturer claim with no test figure behind it; the numbers it does publish are enough to size the fan against a room.
