A $49.99 four-cube frame that IKEA rates at 29 pounds a shelf, ships in one 37.5-pound box and must be screwed to a wall. The per-cube price looks good until the larger frames are set next to it.
IKEA US sells the POÄNG armchair in birch veneer with the Knisa light beige cushion for $149.00, split into a $105.00 frame and a $44.00 cushion. The frame is tested to 242 lb and carries a ten-year promise; the cushion's care label reads do not wash, do not dry clean, vacuum and wipe only.
The $16.99 white LACK is a paper-cored table with a published 22 lb top limit; read that number as the specification, because the listing offers no other.
