Franklin Sensors' $59.99 ProSensor M210 reads a stud's edges and center at once with thirteen sensors; C.H. Hanson's magnetic 3040 finds the same framing for $14.96 with no batteries.
DeWalt's DCD771C2 kit puts a 1/2-inch drill, two batteries, and a charger in a bag for $119, and Amazon's listing rules out concrete and masonry — buy it for wood, screws, and light metal, nothing harder.
Klein's 32500 puts eight screwdriver tips and three nut driver sizes into a single 7.25-inch handle, with replaceable bits and Klein's normal-life hand-tool warranty. It is not magnetic and not insulated, and Klein sends you to retailers to buy it.
IKEA has retired the FIXA tool kit in the US and sells the TRIXIG 15-piece set in its place at $15.99. The box is well documented down to the recycled content of each handle, but the ten bits skip Phillips entirely and no warranty covers any of it.
Stanley lists model 33-428 under two names, publishes six specification lines and no price, and sends buyers to retailers. The lifetime warranty is precise about what it replaces: springs, locks and rivets, never a rusted or torn blade.
The $6.48 bottle bonds wood, stone, metal, ceramic, foam, glass and concrete once one surface is dampened and the joint clamped; what expands in between is a tan foam you have to plan around.
At $49.95 the Wingman undercuts the spring-action Sidekick by $20 and adds the spring scissors neither sibling carries; its 2.6-inch combo blade rides in checked bags only on U.S. flights.
