The K380s makes its case by removing duplication: one keyboard covering a small desk, a tablet and the occasional laptop session. It makes a much weaker case as a way to clear visual space. Time lost reaching for a key that is not there costs more than a few inches of bare desk are worth.
The Tonal Graphite US listing showed a $33.99 offer against a $39.99 listed price when checked. That is a modest price for trying a more compact arrangement, but only if the basic layout suits you. A keyboard you keep correcting yourself on is expensive in attention even when the checkout total is modest.
Our verdict
Consider it for a compact, shared typing setup; keep a familiar larger keyboard if its layout already serves your work.
- A good fit for
- Someone who types on two compatible devices and wants one keyboard with a small footprint.
- We would skip it if
- A dedicated number pad or familiar navigation cluster is central to your daily work.
Reasons to consider it
- Device selection can replace moving a keyboard between connections
- Replaceable batteries provide a straightforward maintenance route
The compromises
- A small layout changes how some tasks are entered
- Custom shortcuts depend on software and operating system
What we have not verified: No typing trial: speed, error rate, noise, connection reliability and battery endurance are all unmeasured.

Pebble Keys 2 K380s
A sensible candidate when switching between compatible devices is part of the daily routine.
Before you buy: Check regional key layout and frequently used shortcuts before replacing your main keyboard.

Logitech publishes body dimensions of 279.5 by 124.2 by 16.4mm and a weight of 415g with batteries. These describe the object you must place or pack. They do not establish comfortable typing, and they should not be translated into a promise of better posture.
Take a real task to the trial: a column of figures, a document to navigate, a few lines of code edited with your own shortcuts. Round keys and a compressed layout disappear for one typist and nag at another. The test is whether attention stays on the work or drifts to the keyboard. That test was not run here.
Make device switching intentional
The keyboard supports three paired devices. Its support guide describes Bluetooth pairing, an optional Logi Bolt receiver, and operating-system-dependent shortcut behavior. A receiver is not included with the standalone keyboard; bundles need to be checked separately.
Give each of the three channels a fixed owner — work laptop on one, tablet on two, phone on three — and leave them there. Channels reassigned ad hoc turn every switch into a guess. Check which screen has focus before typing a password; three paired devices is a routing convenience, not one merged computer.
Price the keyboard without imaginary software benefits
Logi Options+ can remap supported keys, with behavior that varies by platform. Judge the plain typing first and count configuration as a bonus once the operating system and any workplace software policy allow it. A shortcut shown in advertising says nothing about the application you actually use.
Settle function-key behavior once during setup instead of relearning it mid-task. Anyone moving between macOS and Windows should test the modifier keys and the navigation commands they use daily, because that is where a compact layout goes wrong quietly: a dozen small errors a day that feel like your own clumsiness.
Keep the ownership plan simple
The getting-started guide covers replacing two AAA alkaline cells. Logitech’s published support fields disagree with each other on expected life, so no month count is quoted here. Keep a spare pair; that is the entire maintenance plan.
Buy the K380s when it removes a real inconvenience and survives the layout trial. Keep the keyboard you have when it already fits the desk and the work. For travel, budget the space for protecting the keys as well: a bare compact keyboard and a keyboard in a case are two different packing problems. Nothing in the published measurements speaks to survival in a full bag.
